I have just bought 2 norfolk black turkey hens to go with our stag, this was about two weeks ago. They were laying beautifully and now one of them has turned broody!!!!
I had to lock her out of the shed to try and stop this but she just took up a spot outside the shed and this also left the second hen with nowhere to lay and i'm worried that she may become egg bound.
So i've opened the door again!!!!! and she's in the nest!!! Anybody got any ideas how to stop her or how long will it go on???? she hasn't even got eggs under her!!
I'm not keen to put any under her as i've heard they are rubbish mums, also i don't really want to pay for them when these girls should be laying and i've goy an icci. :turkey: :turkey: :turkey:

get here some and let her try. just let her be quite and undisturbed by the other two. who knows you may have a lot of turkeys in 4 weeks time.
