First show
« on: July 31, 2012, 08:07:34 pm »
Today we took our 2 Jersey heifers to Ryedale show, our first time showing cows, big step into the unknown!  Charlotte, our daughter, took Flake and I took Yoyo.  Stuart was showing the pigs at the same time so no photos of the cows in the ring.  Flake was first, Yoyo 2nd and then Flake was reserve breed champion  ;D .
Here are the girls chillaxing after the class  :)

Don't think we'll venture as far as RHS with them, local was stressful enough for me!
They were easier than your pigs Robert, ours are angels  :eyelashes: :P   ;D

Don't know rules for showing older cows.  Yoyo was born June 2011, so should she be shown in calf or in milk RHS 2013?  ??? . Had half thought about taking them this year as calves but thought better of it.  Cow showing is far more confusing than pigs at least you know when pigs have to be born  :D
