Hello from Clare & Sara
« on: May 06, 2009, 08:17:41 pm »
Hi

My best friend Sara and I have not long taken stock of 17 Ex Bats  :chook:, 2 British White Lop Weaners  :pig: and also 7 Light Sussex Hens  :chook: and Rupert the Light Sussex Rooster

We are now 2 weeks in and are finding we are having lots of fun with them all

Noodle and Doodle the weaners are now ruling the roost with the field of tups  :sheep: and horse  :horse:they are in with

In a couple of weeks we are also getting 4 Buff Goslings (Charles, Camilla, Eugiene and Beatrice) and 4 Indian Runner Ducks (names to be confirmed)

As we are new to this (even though Saras husband has arable land of over 2500 acres and a few hundred sheep) and I may be on quite a lot for help, which brings me to my next question which I will find the right place to post LOL

Lots of Love

Clare & Sara xxxx

How fabulous are all these little pictures

Wow, nothing like getting in at the deep end! At least you won't run out of grazing. Where are you based?

Nice. Yorkshire is lovely - you must own most of it! Sorry, just jealous.

We're in Alloa, in Central Scotland.

And Dumfries is where my Dad was born - about 2 hours from here - just under 100 miles I think.  Alloa (and Calckmannan) are near Stirling which the REAL capital of Scotland  ;)
Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age

Welcome to you both

Ex batts are such characters when they settle into their new life, also so rewarding
