Cancelled Shows
« on: July 13, 2012, 12:25:21 pm »
Reading a few threads in the livestock section people asking about shows cancelled and others actually being cancelled.
Would be a good idea if you know of a cancelled show however great or small to post it here.

For example locally to me(N Yorks) the Cleveland Show and Picton Show have been cancelled.
and posted on sheep forum
"Yealmpton show have cancelled, and Honiton have postponed until 30th august...how many more shows will fall victim to this relentless weather? "

I get regular updates for ASAO which is the covering association for show organisers. I must be getting one a day at the moment informing of show cancellations. I will try to put them on here.

North Devon Show has been cancelled  :(
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing

Important Announcement: The Weeton Show is now scheduled for the 2nd
September 2012

After much discussion it has been decided that the Show "must go on" and
will now be rescheduled for Sunday the 2nd September. The Hog Roast will
be on the Friday before (the 31st August). Due to the change in the date
we are very keen to enlist as many volunteers as possible to make 2012 the
best year yet!

We regret there will be no Showjumping as a result of the rescheduling
however we think we have maintained the programme in every other respect.

If you have entered any horse classes or bought tickets and now can't make
the show we will offer a refund, or you can donate the entrance fees -
this year's main charitable cause is the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Please contact me, the Horse Secretary Anne Skinner,
[email protected] to confirm or cancel your entries.

Closing date for entries is the 27th August 2012.

If you are able, please spread word of the change to as many as you can to
ensure inconvenience is kept to a minimum.

Kind regards,

The Weeton Show 2012
