Hi everyone,
For those of you who may not know, I am working to obtain government funding to support smallholders and small producers in Scotland, and we have been granted funding for a small "pilot scheme" comprising of free husbandry, animal health and startup courses. The community of the TAS forum have already been good enough to provide enough suggestions and support through posts and private messages to give us enough evidence of demand to obtain this funding, so well done everyone, it really worked!
In brief, I wil be at the Veterinary Services Stand in the SAC pavilion at the Royal Highland Show on Thursday from 12pm to 5pm. Anyone who happens to be around is very welcome to come and air suggestions, views, comments and requests for services to smallholders in Scotland. Even if you are not there when I am on duty on Thursday - feel free to visit any other day, as all visitors are logged and their comments are recorded and passed on to support any requests or views they might have on the development of their community in Scotland. If we don't provide evidence of the demand present in Scotland, we don't get any more funding!
My name is Caroline and I should have on an SAC name badge. I should also be at the SOPA reception at 5pm in the SOPA marquee so look out for me and feel free to grab me for a chat.
Hope to see you there!
