quick question, does the 20 day standstill still apply if they are going direct to slaughter?

thankyou, makes things a bit easier now,
been getting tangled with red tape. with animals coming and going its bin a bit tricky.
wont be able to get to doune show as pigs arriving the week before, argh
is the isolation facility 2metres from any other livestock or just other pigs? with escaping piglets, i dont think il get one here unless i fix all the 2 inch gaps a piglet can squeeze thru, lol

The biggest problem I had with our Isolation area was our free-range chucks

So this year our approved facility is indoors, with a full-length door & glass taken out of the windows (for air circulation) & replaced with old oven racks (to stop the blasted chucks from flying in)

i have a plan now.

i was going to use a small paddock, but with escaping piglets, it would be a problem. plus its a bit muddy.
i have a walled concrete area away from everything else which was actually saved for something else but i def need an isolation area as this year has been a nightmare trying to buy and sell livestock. i couldnt fit in the shows i wanted either. i will get an arc or such like to put in it.

i never thought about free range birds, but the only free range ones we had have been cooked or snaffled by mr fox.
