The weather it's June by the way.
« on: June 08, 2012, 03:11:50 pm »
I've just been out to check on our sheep as they are pretty nervous in this weather. So far found at least 2 fences down in the small fields near to the house due to falling branches ,so goodness knows what else is going on further afield. I think I'll wait until tomorrow when it is supposed to be better. Hopefully flaming June will arrive sometime. :fc:

I have just sat out a 20 hour ferry journey in 82mph winds - 3 of 4 children throwing their tea up for 2 hours bless them.
Grateful for the few sunny days we enjoyed in Spain, not so happy to come back to this!
Goat sitter slid down the hill today apparently, sent me an amusing text about how she'd managed not to spill any feed despite falling - yay!
come on summer - lets be 'avin ya!!!

I had a newt in the house yesterday,( or was it the day before?) all the wet days are merging into one :-\ Again, could be the wine.

We've just had 4 days and nights of continual  light rain.  Husband insists its good rain, not sure about that, I still get wet every time I go out.  Dry today but we now have the winds that everyone else seems to have had.  Maybe it was just a dream but when looking back to summer as a child I don't remember them being this bad.

We could be doing with some of your wind up here as we have overcast and the midges are out in full force  :(

Looking toward the latter part of the week, rain and wind will arrive from the southwest on Thursday with more of the same into Friday. The weekend keeps us with the unsettled theme with more showers or longer spells of rain.
slight improvement isn't likely to last for long though, with wet and windy weather returning by Friday. When will conditions improve? There continue to be signs of an improvement later in the month,    NOT LOOKING GOOD

Veg garden progress is shocking and polytunnel miles behind. WHERE IS OUR SUMMER SEND IT NOW PLEASE.
