Tattoo pliers - any suggestions?
« on: June 08, 2012, 11:50:37 am »
I need some good pliers with large characters for tattooing pigs, and the best I've seen have been (really old) cattle pliers, now out of production.

What I need is a set which will take 3 letters and 3 numbers - either two rows or one, doesn't matter. Ideally, they'd have a quick-release mechanism, too.

The Fearings ones I'm using at the moment are too small, so if anyone has any suggestions of other brands, I'd be really grateful.

we use a set of hortsmann sadly they are no longer available but if you are lucky you could pick up a secondhand set.
mums first set came when she started out with goats over 40 yrs ago the other 2 sets came from friendly farmers so i keep a set just for the pigs, they are made to last and being automatic its quick. a friend picked up a set at a local auction but paid over a few hundred for them  ::)

We sell a six space set of pliers, complete with all characters and paste.

Use the link at the bottom of any TAS page to go to our site and then find them in the Pig section.

Thanks
