Can anyone help? I am thinking of celebrating my daughters 21st/ honeymoon and sons 24th birthday with a "hoe down" but to make the event go with a swing and feed the hungry hordes I was thinking of having a hog roast or could supply a sheep BUT all the companies that do hog roasts seem to be in England. So does anyone know of a company near Alloa, Central Scotland that would cater for a hog roast or else someone that could do the roast (copious amounts of alcohol  and accomodation included)

I know of people that were at a wedding at the Roxburgh Hotel, Charlotte Square, Edinburgh recently and the evening buffet was indeed what you are looking for. Perhaps you could phone their events co ordinator and just say you attended a function recently and were impressed with what the hosts supplied - could they give you any info on the company that provided the pig? Worth a try!

there is a company who do catering for equestrian events...gleneagles, scone etc. they do hog roasts. ill see if i can find their company name. they do things like venison etc. you may be able to get their name from the event organisers. I am sure they are dunblane based!!
