Our vets are running a FREE pig course on Tuesday 3rd July at my smallholding.  Ford Mill Farm - EX39 5RF.


It will cover pig health and husbandry, resulting in a Nadis certificate.


Some of the subjects being covered are:  vaccinations, lameness, farrowing problems, reviving piglets, worms, external parasites and lots more.  With the opportunity to meet the pigs here too.


9am - 4pm (lunch and refreshments included).

Not sure if there will be any more here.  It's a DEFRA funded course - I would have thought other vets would be doing them too.

Having been lucky enough to visit Julie's pad a few years ago to purchase a lovely GOS gilt I cannot recommend the place enough. It's really well set out, in a lovely part of the country and with a butchery too! That's not including the pig course which I am sure will be very interesting and informative.

Wish I could go! But not let out for good behaviour for another 3 months.

I'm not sure what response there has been so far, I'll be seeing the vet in the week so will find out then.
