On another topic i said i would post the costs of my two GOS when i got them back from the butchers but couldn't remember which topic it was so here they are anyway.
Two pigs aged 22wks (one 40" round chest other 38")
Slaughter was £26.50 per pig
Cut & vac-pack and label £16.50 per pig
£1.55 per kg to make sausages
Cut half pig to bacon only £10
My halves weighed as follows 23.06kg,19.7kg,19.82kg then out of the final half i had 20.6kg made into sausages and a loin sent for bacon.
My cost came out at £144.43 total
i sell a half pig at £140 so onehalf roughtly covers butchering.
