?'Honey' Rough Collie spayed bitch. Tri-coloured. 12 years old. No ID tag, no microchip. Honey was lost in the Spittal area of Stonehouse, South Lanarkshire. While out for a walk with the two other dogs and my grandchildren she took a route round the fence rather than jumping it and never appeared on the other side. We searched for hours and then days with both dogs in tow and they never picked up Honey's scent which leads us to believe that she has been picked up (hopefully by a kind and concerned stranger) and taken in. We are offering a substantial reward for the safe return of our family pet. - 07814 074056

Don't give up. Friends of ours had their dog taken from right outside their house - on a busy road but miles from other habitation.  They continued to search for months and eventually she was brought into a dog home, with her toenails painted red   So clearly someone had loved her and looked after her well, although who that was is still a mystery

I've no doubt the dog that ripped open the face of my neighbours sheep the other day was also a family pet.
Hopefully the dog will not be chasing sheep or other stock, they're not shot just for being there, generally there's a reason.

Thank you from that lovely negative comment(as usual) - I do understand the anguish of your neighbour but this is a 14 year old bitch with arthritis.  Not very likely to be able to get INTO a sheep field let alone chase anything.

Oooops my mistake,
I thought it was 12 years old and you never mentioned the arthritis, I'm surprised it managed to walk far from you all. Perhaps someone thought it was abandoned as it was so infirm, you know how some heartless dog owners will do that sort of thing.
