But I have a friend looking for a couple of 'pet' pygmies - she runs a livery yard and has loads of outside space, grass and good animal husbandry  I did try to convince her that Kunekunes would do as good a job on the grass, but she was having none of it 

So if anyone has any or has details for breeders (pretty much anywhere in Scotland, but the closer to Lanark the better  ) I'd really appreciate you letting me know so I can pass it on to her.

You can pay around £250 for a registered - just get unregistered if they are for pets and not showing, they're all cute and cuddly - ours are great fun, but none to spare I'm afraid.

   East Links family park in Dunbar usually have some for sale when they are past the cute kid stage.

Our first goats were from there and we were told they were pygmies - they weren't and grew quite big and I think were Toggen Xs.  Now we have registered pygmies, I can see there is quite a difference in the personalities.  We had a real hassle handling the Togg Xs (although you wouldn't expect that from a farm park) whereas the real pygmies handle really easily and it makes it much much more enjoyable.  Get well handled stock to make your life easier and the whole experience more fun.

None for sale around here, sorry, Camperdown park in Dundee used to keep pygmy/pygmy x's when I helped out there - it was a while ago but as goosepimple says they may grow up bigger!! Saying that my registered pygmy's are different sizes from a very vertically challenged female to a single wether that grew up to look always pregnant!!

Some pygmies do seem to grow larger than expected.  Elliot our intact male, was at a school, where they had a farm, with two females.  The lady who bought him was worried he was bigger than his two females.  He got one in kid, and she had twins, and we have one female so far by him.  I have been to look at the females from last year, and they are already as big as their mum!!

I have some little people for sale, although some are already reserved ....but we are a long way from Scotland unfortunately!!

Think I've managed to find her a couple of castrated boys up in Aberdeenshire so the search is over
