Pheasant hatching
« on: May 03, 2012, 02:54:29 pm »
I am hatching some pheasant eggs for a friend.  I've tried candling them but they seem very dense - is there a special knack to it?  Anyone know how long they incubate for?    We set them on 13th April..
Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age

You could try putting the candler on the blunt end of the egg, that may give you a better look.
