How can I check the price of sheep? I know the price of commercial sheep but pure bred breeds I have no idea about. Could anyone give me an idea of how much I would need to pay for a registered Ryeland ewe? Thank you.

At York RB sale last week, Ryeland gimmers sold to £138gns, average £119

Ryeland ewe lambs: 598.50 (289.87)

Ryeland ram lambs: 619.50 (257.70)
Coloured Ryeland ewes: 215.25 (178.05)
Coloured Ryeland ewe lambs: 388.50 (189.83)

good Lord, I shall look at my Ryelands in a whole new light from now on. Those are some great prices but I would imagine the breeding is exceptional. I could do with learning a little bit more about the best lines etc to improve my stock. If anyone facies giving me a lesson anytime please let me know
