2 healthy lambs ages ago. The others look like they should explode. Is it normal for the ram to have such a long break?

That's quite a long time, but they cycle every 17 days so if the first was got straightaway, he may have missed the others until 17 or 34 days later, lambs can arrive a week early or late, are they bagging up, nice big udders? When they run away from you are the vulvas large? Just,signs they won't be long?

Woo hoo! Lamb number 3 this morning! They were obviously waiting for the worst possible weather. So 3 good sized single female lambs and we are feeling really lucky. Put them in the stable and some extra bedding in the field shelter in case any want to suprise us in the morning.

We now have 5 lambs - 4 girls and a boy but still have 5 girls to lamb yet. Wow our ram sure took his time.......

Hee hee!

It is funny because he must have had a yippee moment on the very first day as we had 2 lambs a few weeks earlier than we thought. Then he must have sat back and relaxed or been too tired to get on with the rest. I think we are on week 7 now of lambing I think and about half way through the ewes.... The only good thing is that (touch wood) we have had all healthy hassle free births of strong single lambs and mostly girls - couldn't ask for more really. BUT...The remaining pregnant ewes were all born as twins so perhaps we might have some fun and games to come. They are all massive!
