waiting game (updated with pics)
« on: April 23, 2012, 11:24:24 am »
One of our toggies , a maiden kidder , has kept us up all night , rubbing her flanks on the wall , coming over to us for a massage and backrub, burying her head in our laps , She refused the kidding shed accommodation with cctv laid on last week, and demanded her own box so we have to keep going out every half an hour to check on her. Never mind, it can't stay in there forever, There is just her and 1 BS to kid now and then we can get some sleep.

How's she doing?
Ellie was doing that from yesterday afternoon and finally produced a nice little doe at lunchtime today. Can't believe from the size of her that she was only carrying one so am just going out to look for a twin  :)

Still no joy JK. settling in for another night of keep e'm guessing ,  her vulva is well soft and pushed out and her bag is filling steadily, sleep deprivation is the name of the game.

Oh no  :P good job we love 'em! Well, here's hoping she still gets it done before it's dark and you can have a glass of wine and a proper night's kip.

MAJOR UPDATE

Still no joy

Everytime we checked up on her last night she was lying down chewing the cud , so two sleepless nights , totally spaced out , got the shakes from too much coffee, and nothing to report, can I strangle her now please ?

Enid is doing the same to me, I have to go out to collect a load of hay today, so I guess it will happen then.
Can you sneak up behind her and yell BOO!!! ;D ;D

Yet another unproductive night,  but this morning her vulva was dripping clear slime so it shouldn't be too long now,  she probably looked at the weather and said " sod it I'll hang on ".

Good grief what a waiting game... All these kidding stories, it's so exciting. Love the sound of the CCTV area - shame she didn't feel the same though!

She started at 1700;hrs so we went out all tooled up ,navel spray, towels , shotgun. and with our morral support she got down and pushed them out , one of each , first a cheeky little girl , bouncing round on springs and drinking  within a minute, then 3/4 of an hour later a nice little boy, heading for the milk bar before he could stand propperly.

TONIGHT WE SLEEP.
