There's a new rural crafts and skills programme of 1 and 2 day courses at Acton Scott Museum in Shropshire. There's some interesting stuff. I think this link should work.  http://www.shropshire.gov.uk/museums.nsf/open/BBB56E64592EBBC98025753E003FF75C

Hi wren - are you part of the museum?    The courses look good and good value too.  There are a couple in there I would like to try, and my OH too. It's quite a way to travel though........

I want to have a go at flint knapping.  Have mentioned this several times to my OH in the hope that it might be my birthday present!  Fingers crossed.

Hi Fleecewife, yes I help out at the museum. It is a super programme, we are really pleased to be able to host it. Fantastic new oak-framed barn to hold the 'sit down' parts  Some of the courses are definitely one-offs, hence why I wanted to get the word out.
