Maiseys bald patch

Just wandering if any one can help - as Maisey's bad nipple has been leaking - it has been running on her leg. As a result of the past week of leaking she has started to get a bald patch. Is there anything i could put as a barrier, some kind of paraffin based barrier?? don't think i should phone the vet about a silly question or would you? i feel like its been one thing after another this week with Maisey's bad nipple!!!

I wonder if the 'former udder cream' handcream Udderly Smooth would help her?
I bought some the other day (when my iPhone ceased to recognise my fingers as skin  :P) and noticed, when I went into the shower, that water beaded on my hands, as though the cream were greasy enough to repel it. Certainly it's mended my hands.

I suppose Vaseline would be a cheap and easy alternative?
