What  small world we live in, I have found links with several people on this site and am sure others have. I gave my partner a book, Nunaga
by a sixth cousin from Glasgow, Duncan Pryde, who I came across by chance, he reminded me so much of an uncle who was self sufficient, and who was very excentric. I have fond memories of  his youngest son, my cousin who now lives in Glasgow, riding horses with bits of rope for reins, grilling mackerel over a fire in his house, getting water from a well and collecting honey from the wild, not so good hygien having to wash in a big tub of well water and go to the toilet in a shed over a bucket nder a seat, not so nice, anyway the book  was about Inuits and how my sixth cousin lived with them and stood for them in parliment, he died in the Isle of white wrghting a dictionary of thier language, the book is well worth a read but it turns out, the person who was reading the book knew of his brother who also lived in Glasgow and I am alsoin contact with one of his any Inut chidren, he also lived with the Cree Indians so in his words, " everyone should have a little Pryde in thier country!"  Now I am off to find out if the people who used to live in tis house are relatives as my cousin says we have relatives in Edinburgh with the same srname.....I wounder.....???????????
