fox attack
« on: April 07, 2009, 09:06:54 am »
Last night the fox killed one of our turkeys. I wouldn't have minded so much if he had eaten him but he just took his head. The local gamekeeper is coming round today to try and sort him out as we dont want to lose any more of the poultry. It happened just before dusk so we will have to be more vigillant in future but you know what chickens are like they go away in there own time.  We had some more bad news yesterday the pair of Buff oprpingtons that I bought from the poultry sale are BOTH cockerels AAHH!! So if anyone in the west country wants a buff cockerel please contact me.
