You will need :

*  an empty  2litre lemonade bottle
*  a 70 cl bottle of vodka
*  3 or 4 unwaxed lemons
*  225 g white caster sugar

With a sharp knife pare the rind off the lemons making sure there is no pith.

place rind in the bottle

add half the vodka to the bottle

put 225g of the sugar in a plastic measuring jug add a splash of boiling water to disolve the sugar, then top up to the 250 ml mark with hot water

stir well to disolve alll the sugar then add the sugarwater to the bottle

add the remaining vodka

screw the cap on and shake it well

shake the bottle twice a day for 10 days, tasting for quallity control  :yum:

strain through a tea strainer into an empty vodka bottle and place in your freezer,

pour any excess into a glass and hide it in the fridge for drinking later

I know, how we suffer for our art. :thumbsup:

Sounds good!
Unfortunateley I moved my Lemon tree from the house into the barn becuase I read they don't like too much winter light and that was causing leaf drop. With -20 for 2 weeks the move to the barn ws not thought through. Not only did I loose the leaves but all my lovely lemons
 :( :( :(   Tree is DEAD !

Just off to Sicily to but some unwaxed lemons or I may even buy another lemon tree to give the Limoncello a crack..
