constipated lamb

hi one of my triplets is looking a bit hunched up its rear end is also very clean he is the smallest of the triplets so i have been giving him 250 mls out of the bottle every day just incase the other two are getting more of the mother

Is he maybe getting too much at one go?  Maybe less but more often?  You can help by massaging his bum gently with warm water and baby oil.

A pipette containing a few drops of liquid paraffin in his rear end can help too. Carefully done though and keep it minimal.

This might seem a stupid question, but have you checked to see if the lamb has an anus, as they can be born without one?

thanks for the replye gave a spoonful of cod liver oil as reccommended by a commercial breeder worked a treat poo this morning never ever thought poo would get me so excited
