Last Lamb
« on: March 20, 2012, 06:41:47 am »
Our last Ewe LLanwenog/Hampshire has just had her lamb.

And not to bad even though it was breach, she laid very still whilst i pushed the lamb back flicked its first leg back and then the second gave a gentle pull on its back legs on her next contraction and out it came

Ive had two with the heads back and two breach this year, strange as ive never had any that have been wrongly presented in the past, just one of those things i suppose. Its at this point when everything you have read in books and on fourums about wrong presentation pays off ;)

Well done you!!  :trophy:
Sounds like you have come through your challenges with flying colours.
You did well to get the breaches out quickly.
Pleased it all went well.

must be the year for presentation problems, we've had a lot more head only and head with 1 leg presentations this year. no idea why - we fed less and the lambs are slightly smaller and I was hoping to have an easier lambing!!
