A couple of bales on their sides with some roofing sheets over them should serve a purpose in the short term.  Need to use something fairly heavy to weigh the sheets down but it works as a temporary measure for us.   And stops me fussing about developing horns getting caught up!

Whats stops the ewes getting in?  Ours are sort of GfD (crossed with rhinos in an earlier life) and will barge through anything.
