Been really busy so have only just noticed your post, we have just finished our last lot of meat chooks, and will probably be looking to get some more about summer time, so we could very well be interested in sharing! Whereabouts in Carmarthen are you?

We're in Blaenwaun, about 7 miles north of Whitland

Actually, I've just checked with him again and he's saying April/may time!   Bit earlier than I thought - but not a problem this end.   

 If anyone wants them 'off heat', I can keep 'em and run them on although obviously they are a bit more expensive due to the additional feed

I'm trying to convince OH that some meat chooks would be a good investment .... hit something of a brick wall though!!

Well.....these are now 16 week old BIG birds and we have today 'finished' them off    and ten of our twelve are in the freezer  .    The weights !!!!!.....smallest 6lbs 1oz.....largest 7lbs 14ozs    (not sure what that is in new money  ).....but lovely big birds...  yumyum.
