Next year....
« on: February 20, 2012, 08:35:24 pm »
I don't know how likely anyone would want to do this but I would so love to have a holiday....

Is there anyone out there, who would like to have a pair of Glastonbury Festival tickets, plus the use of my static with comfy bed, hot shower and loo (within 5 minute walk of the pyramid stage, I live that close) in exchange for feeding my looking after my goats, sheep and birdies during the festival?
The animals live a 10 minute walk in the opposite direction and would need to be done twice everyday.

I thought it was going to be too cheeky to ask, but then I found out what some people pay for legit tickets to festivals after they have sold out :o
I would leave plenty of food for both animals and caretakers, and you can help yourself to anything from the gardens, and all the eggs you could possibly want.

Watcha think?

I think its fab idea!
not something I'm able to take you up on, but best of luck :)

just one thing - will the goats be in milk, or just need feeding?

I plan to have them in milk, but can have an extra bod in to do the milking if need be. He wouldn't want to look after the rest though ;) too busy.

What a brilliant idea and could it be the start of something bigger? There must be loads of people on here who would love a change of scenery who could do a swap with a like minded family...so you swap houses and animals for a week/weekend, you'd still be able to do some sightseeing and just getting away from familiarity is a tremendous boost to the system  :D

Too far from home for my OCD and inbuilt paranoia to cope with hun, but I'm sure someone would.

Perhaps we should all ask Dan nicely if we can have a house/holiday swap sticky or something.
Where is the eyelash fluttering smiley :D :D

Yes, I would be up for that.

The last few times I have been to glastonbury festival, my husband stays home for our place, and I am always up early at the festival and honestly a bit bored between the hours of 6am to about 10am. (Not a massive drinker, but I love the music and atmosphere)

If you want me to do that, I'd be happy to come over to see about it, I live in Bournemouth, so not too far if you'd prefer me to nip over a few times to visit beforehand to get some training in (I know everyone's got their own special way of doing things ;)  )

I know I'm pretty quiet on these boards, oftne too busy tending animals or working to get on the interenet.

I missed this first time around, sorry, and it's a great idea.

Added to the list.  ;)
