Despite been banned from this major event. I am still digging mine up from last years planting. Was down there today, 26/02/12. Snow drops (plants) in full bloom and daffodil plants are up. My Wiljurs in the ground are starting to sprout so the ground is warming up. I intend to try and get my earlies into the ground mid March.

Maybe but  wsith me and potatoes it's a case of quite a lot ventured, nothing gained.

I'll play, I generally am very pleased with growing in bags, and get to rip the mick out of my landlord every year as his attempts are rubbish. I have now jinxed my own efforts this year haven't I? :D

Count me in. Although I,m looking at gaining the booby prize if last year is anything to go by.
Lots of top growth then when it turned black and started dying , we turned out the sacks to find total of half a dozen mini things from 6 sacks started with 4 spuds in each.  ???

Got to do better than that this year surely  :trophy:

a week to go!! my pink fir apple are chitted nicely, ive dug and mixed a super rich load of compost, and my new mini polytunnel (4.5m x 2m x 2m) goes up this weekend. good luck everyone!!
