making a pond

Hello I am planning on creating a pond to store water for irrigation of vegtables and intend to pump water  from a recent dug well can any one advise on how best to create this with pond liner and what size of area and depth to store around 50.0000 gal of water I am also planning on throwing in a few fishes the keep down the mozzies in sunny Jamaica
I also have the use of an  excavator to or better would any one be happy to come and help with this project free board

Welcome to the forum and good luck with the project.  I'm hoping to start a similar one here in sunny Clackmannan shortly, not sure about fish although it would be nice to have some carp, but my dogs might try to retrieve them!   ;D
