buffalo meat slicer - thickness
« on: February 06, 2012, 11:36:43 am »
Hi all,

I've just got a buffalo meat slicer model 0000827MIUK second hand off ebay for £50.

It seems to work fine slicing my salami but I'm having some trouble adjusting the thickness.  There is a knob on the front with numbers 1 to 14 that I assume is for the thickness but it doesn't turn.

Does anyone know if there is an obvious reason for this?  Should I be holding a safety button etc when I'm turning it or something else equally obvious that I'm missing?

I feel that if I use brute force it might turn but I'm a bit wary of breaking it as I've never used a meat slicer before.

Cheers

the knob should turn     liberal doses of wd 40  and try turning it back and forward   some people dont clean them or look after them properly :farmer:
