Keeping bees on a small holding by Jo Schup

Jo was the recipient of the Wax Chandlers Award 2011 as she gained high marks in both the theory and practical exams en-route to becoming a Master Beekeeper. She also has great experience as a seasonal bee inspector and in training in a wide variety of beekeeping topics.

At the meeting there will, also, be:
The Members’ Exchange time, which will include the opportunity for
any announcements about items for sale or wanted.
The raffle.
The Members’ Table, where you can sell any smallholder items.
As usual we will round off the evening with a two-course meal. There is a charge for the meal of £6.00 per person (£2.50 for child under 10 yrs of age) but, please note that booked meals have to be paid for even if you are unable to attend the meeting as an outside caterer provides the food. If you would like a vegetarian meal please request this when booking. To book for the talk and/or the meal please contact Paula Raymond by e mail to lucy@raymond606.freeserve.co.uk or by ‘phone on 01743
873986. Meals must be booked by the evening of Sunday 5th February at the latest.
All bookings are important (whether you are staying for a meal or not). Guests and visitors are welcome at the meetings and there is an entrance fee of £1 & £3 respectively. Meetings are free for members.
Looking forward to seeing you there
