Tripplets just born tonight
« on: January 30, 2012, 12:12:39 am »
Mad dash to the vet 10 : 30 pm  : after a lot of straining and pushing  and with just a nose to feel, no legs , my hands are too big to fit inside so off to knighton vets , Lucy, who has much smaller hands than me managed to sort out the tangle of bodies and deliver 3 healthy billy kids ,

Congratulations
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing

I am impressed that you got her into the car/trailer to get her to the vet, rather than have the vet coming out for this.... and it's nice to know that your vet has smaller hands than you....

Three can be quite a scramble to sort out (I never had to yet)... glad it's all over and done with.

I too am so glad that these little lads will lead full lives and aren't destined for the freezer. They are so cute. Many congraulations. You must be so proud!
