I doubt he will get any help in jail other than he wont have to struggle to pay rent, for food, a TV license, any utility bills, wash his own bedding, go shopping, cook food, go far to find a friend, go to the shop for alcohol or go far to find a dealer  . . . etc etc etc

Jail is too good - he should be made to stay on the farm and made to look after his livestock along with psychiatric help if he needs it.

I cried watching that - what a travesty.

There is no excuse for it and I am not trying to make one for him - but to play the devils advocate, with proper farm visits this could have been nipped in the bud before it happened and maybe could have made him realise he needed help before all those animals were subjected to that horrible life.
