Poor Clarence is feeling out of sorts today. Completely uninterested in breakfast and all lethargic. Had the vet out this morning - was very impressed, they came out within an hour of me calling them. Clarence has a temperature so likely an infection of some sort or pneumonia. He has had a shot of antibiotic and an anti-inflammatory but is there anyting else I can be doing for him? The vet said he should be feeling a bit better after 12 hours and to keep a close eye on the other 2 in case it's something contagious.

Could be pneumonia given the topsy turvy weather we've had of late. best you can do is make sure he's comfortable, plenty of dry straw, ensure he's drinking even if you have to put a bottle in his mouth (pigs dehydrate quickly), make sure theres air circulating in his house not just thro the door (we drill 2" holes in the apex opposite end to the door to make airflow) still air is the  biggest danger with pneumonia as the bugs love the moist damp conditions. Tempt him with a banana/apple whatever his usual treat is and just keep an eye on him. Hopefully the antibiotics will do the trick, nice to see you have a quick thinking vet, check with him if the antibiotic was long lasting or if you might need some more.
Finally give him a lovely big hug and tell him you love him makes all the difference :-* :-[ ;D

Just been out to check on him and he seems much better. His temperature must have come down already from the medication so he is feeling happier. He has munched through several carrots and decided that he would like some pig pellets for breakfast after all. Haven't seen him drink yet, couldn't tempt him with a bucket, but have seen him do a couple of wees so hopefully he is not dehydrated. Will go back in a bit and stick a bottle in his mouth just to make sure.
