There's a lamb in the aga!

It must be that time of year again, though not my sheep yet!
Howling gales and icy rain so my friend's sheep decide that now would be a good time to start lambing!
The biggest ramb lamb I think I have ever seen is warming up in the aga as I type :love:
Hopefully we can bring the rest in today and make life a bit easier for my friend ;D

Lucky lamb!

It's nice and sunny here, but I don't knwo how long it will last  :)

Yep i've had one by the aga and he's now in my back passageway :o got too hot in the kitchen for him.Single quartered ewe predictably gives birth to twins, always happens. and nothing to foster to

I'm no longer allowed lambs in the house. Every time I brought one in to warm up the dog peed on me! cue the swearing!
I now have a dog crate on a couple o blocks with a fan heater blowing in below for warmth. An old blanket over the top keeps the heat in and it's much easier to clean! I can also fit more than just a couple o lambs in if the weather really doesn't play the game!
It's not so romantic but the dog prefers it in the long run!

I can't imagine a lamb trotting around your immaculate kitchen Dougal !! With our stone floor, dog and muck boot prints I'm sure a lamb would quite like sitting by our wood burner - off subject but Zip is doing great - so naughty at home (on his own turf) - out and about he's a little softie butter wouldn't melt!!

I think my mate is in for a year of it with this crop of lambs! Only got a few, another one started today, and i was presented with a nose and SIX legs to untangle :o :o
Thank gods I have small hands. One good healthy lamb owner of the head and 2 feet, one stillborn, he was doubled up presenting all four feet first. Never seen that one before!
