Gawd! It sounds horrendous up there.....................................We seem to only get just the tail end of the 'tempêtes' that you have been experiencing up north (and that's bad enough for me). Even then 'Bawbag' brought down telegraph poles, buckled old metal electricity poles, and pole-axed one of our more exposed cider apple trees.
And, of course, the rain! We had 3 months in the summer with no rain and 2 months with very little wet stuff coming out of the sky...................... and, until Bawbag started, our land was dry a metre down. Now the land is saturated. it's chuckiing it down, and blowing another right Hoolie and I'm steeling myself to go out and do the round of the flocks again........................
