we keep a few GF completely freerange, iv never managed to breed them but do find huge nests occassionally full of eggs but never in same place twice. as wev never had babies, we do have to replace them ocassionally as gradually they tend to disaappear (fox  ) but they are nice to have around and never any trouble. they eat with the chickens and wev never been lucky enough to have enough to eat. we had 10 at one point and they did used to alarm the neighbours as they used to visit peoples gardens en masse and uninvited...mainly cos noone knows what they are but also the noise upsets some people.
we also collect their feathers and sell them on ebay!!
