Electric netting help
« on: December 13, 2011, 01:25:17 pm »
Mover the poultry netting at the weekend, now it's not working. New batteries, tension fine, nothing touching, clip gives a good shock ( husband checed it) but when attached to he fence, nothing. Can't see why, contact looks ok- any ideas? Worried bout visits from the fox....

Quite often one (or more) of the lines gets caught on the spike of the net so effectively grounding the net. Follow the second bottom line - it must not touch anything except the plastic post. If it touches the steel spike it will stop the net working.
The bottom line does not matter, it may touch the ground as it has no electrical filaments in it.
