Hi from me
« on: October 26, 2007, 05:04:43 pm »
Hi my name's Karen,
Very, very shorty, myself, hubby Alan, children Kristian 18 and Sophie 13, horse Halo and 2 large dogs Cass and Alfie, (and uncle tom cobbly an all....)  will be moving to a 5 acre smallholding in rural Normandy, with the hope of living the dream...
By Dream....please don't think we are jumping into this venture with rose tinted glasses perched on the end of our noses, we're not.... after debating this move for an awful long time we are aware of the pitfalls, good and bad points of moving to a rural area...especially a foreign one....

Anyway this is just to introduce ourselves ...and say we are looking forward to meeting you all on the site ..... and learning from your experiences...

Hi Karen

Lovely to read that someone else is moving across the pond!
We have lived in Normandy for three years now, and there are two other here on the forum from Britanny, all three of us smallholders and we all love our piglies!
Let us know whereabouts you will be living and how you get on with your move!

Kate

Hi Karen hope you will enjoy being here.  Hope France works well for you, after 5 or so years dont think we could see ourselves living elsewhere.

HM
