I wash my wellies under the tap every night ... then usually remeber something (usually where I've left the eggs!) and have to go back again!
They have a tidemark round, where I try not to wet my jeans :D

I rarely wash mine.  I think the mud just gets so thick it drops off.

ah, but you've seen our place - the mud on your wellies gets that thick it's hard to walk!

Can I just ask please? How often do you dung your goathouses out during the winter? There is such a good layer of hay on the floor keeping it warm now and its not too smelly at all. What would you suggest?

This will be it now for the winter.  Probzbly do them again in February or when I start knocking my jhead on the roof!   ;D  I just keep topping it up and, as you say, it keeps them warm.  My shed has a wooden floor so i drilled some large holes in it to assist drainage.

Only snag is that cleaning out in February will be a killer.   :( :farmer:

That's what  I thought. I get through 4 black bin bags during a normal dung out. I was hoping for fine weather today, at least that's what Meteo said it would be, so that I could do it today but its pouring with rain again. I would like to give them one last bottoming before the snow comes. Its a great way to burn off calories isnt it!
