Proud to the point of smugness?
« on: November 26, 2011, 09:03:33 pm »
Picked up my girlies from the butchers yesterday following the two boys a couple of weeks ago. Butcher said they were the best pigs he'd seen in months! Best part was he showed one of the farmers who does some contracting for me to show him what they should look like!!!! Mwhahahaha!!!!

Oh, well done Cap'n!   :trophy:

Remind us what breed(s) they were?  And - if poss, pictures of the product?  (One of our butchers keeps a snap of a 'home kill' pig on his mobile phone, to show us 'hobby pig farmers' why they are not likely to want to buy any of our produce...)
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing
