[color=green]Police probe ducks' disappearance 
Police have been investigating the disappearance of almost 40 ducks from the garden of a house near a town in the Highlands.

The white cherry valley breed were being kept outside a property near Nairn on the Moray Firth coast.

Northern Constabulary said 38 birds vanished at some point over the past month. The force confirmed it was investigating the case.

Unbelievable, James! When we had to catch them, I was lucky to get one a day!
I wonder if it's the same thieves that took the horses a few weeks back up North.
We had a suspicious van in our drive last year, but I think they were after scrap metal. I smelled burnt rubber when I approached them. In their haste they got stuck in a ditch and had all sorts of excuses of being lost....

It can be a cruel world that we live in some days. Last year I heard from a woman that had her 2 very young Pygmy goat kids stollen and they were never found. She told me that the worst part of it was hearing the mother goat constantly cry out for many days looking for her babies. They had security in place at the time and now they have CCTV and all sorts of sad stuff! Some people are pure wicked .

Know someone a few miles from me who had a pair of ducks stolen just before Christmas. They were taken from inside their shed at night.

How poor can you be that you have to steal someone else's birds for your Christmas dinner - outrageous!

Not poor just no respect for other people's property or feelings.

Just a thought.......... i purchased 9 goslings 2 easters ago, kept them in for 10 days then let them out.... couple of days later all gone? not a sign, not a feather, thought some sod has nicked them, so i connected the security camera up and went off and got another batch, did the same as before then went down the place i keep them and yes all gone but this time heads and feathers laying about, A FOX...... First time i thought it wasnt a fox as not so much as a feather left behind...... My fault got complacent and didnt connect the electric fence, have done so since and no more  losses.... this is the most dangerous time for foxes as they all have cubs now... HARRY
