Shropshire Smallholder Group
Thursday 10th November 7.30pm
at Leebotwood Village Hall
SY6 6NB
Vet tips for the smallholder Anna Zakharova of Shropshire Hills Veterinary practice took a degree in Pharmacology at Aberdeen University before qualifying as a vet from Cambridge in 1990. She has worked in mixed, equine and small animal practice. Her earlier years were spent on a 5 acre smallholding with all the usual suspects and she currently lives on a 131 acre farm with cattle and sheep so understands the issues we all have to deal with! Anna will be providing us with some helpful tips but ideally if we can come along armed with questions she thinks this will be a more beneficial format for us.
At the meeting there will, also, be:
The Members’ Exchange time, which will include the opportunity for
any announcements about items for sale or wanted.
The raffle.
The Members’ Table, where you can sell any smallholder items.
As usual we will round off the evening with a two-course meal. There is a
charge for the meal of £5.00 per person (£2.50 for child under 10 yrs of
age) but, please, note that booked meals have to be paid for even if you
are unable to attend the meeting as an outside caterer provides the food.
If you would like a vegetarian meal please request this when booking.
To book for the talk and/or the meal please contact Paula Raymond by
e mail to lucy@raymond606.freeserve.co.uk or by ‘phone on 01743
873986. Meals must be booked by the evening of Sunday 6th November at the latest.
All bookings are important (whether you are staying for a meal or not).
Guests and visitors are welcome at the meetings and there is an entrance
fee of £1 & £3 respectively. Meetings are free for members.
Looking forward to seeing you there
