We found a friend for Daisy
« on: October 29, 2011, 04:03:42 pm »
YIPEEEEEEE.  We got a goat yesterday.  A 6 month old 3/4 pygmy wether called Humbug (although he is a sort of roan colour).

We had a horrendous journey, with Humbug in the boot of the car.  Got stuck in tail backs on the M5, but anyone behind us was having a great time taking photos of humbug looking out of the back window!  He was exceptionally well behaved.

Got home in the dark, settled him in, went to leave the field and he was straight up on the wall.  We ended up shutting Daisy and Humbug in the horse shelter.

Today we have made them a lovely house using pallets and stuffing them with straw for insulation.  We have also made them a high platform which Humbug loves.

So hopefully all is well and there won't be any more escape attempts.
