Hi all,

I recently wrote about my lab ex gun dog and her being so nervous and was working with her to make things better. As said in a previous post I noticed over just 7 days she was becoming bloated,in the end I took Bunny to my vet.I have to say I am angry due to them diagnosing her with Pyometra and that she needed urgent surgery. My vet quoted me £1000 which I have to say,I did not have,The secretary referred Bunny to another vet in kettering-easy pet care.Whom advised they would take on the emergency surgery and it would be £285.00!... It was my vet whom diagnosed Bunny with the Pyometra-100%.

So I took my Bun along with some hope,I know that the chances are not good,However, the vet called me after opening Bunny up and said-Bun had extensive cancer, the main one being as large as a football, she was amazed that Bun had kept going and was very perky pre surgery.
She said,Bun would have collapsed within a week, she did not recognise her insides as that of a bitch due to being so heavily covered in cancer-in all her 20 years, she said it was the worst case she had ever seen and was better to let her go whilst under, than bring her around again.

Ever since I have been taking Bun to my local vet,all they kept doing was push Royal Canin at £50.00 per bag so Bun could lose some weight,it was all about as he put it,she was very obese at 7 yrs of age and being 33kg.She was originally 35kg when she came to me,I got her down to 31KG as they would not spay her until she was 29KG. This was 5 months ago.She was due to be done in September, but again, too overweight..
Bunny was so different to any I had ever had,she loved me implicitly,I could not go out of the hosue for 10 minutes and she would wine in front of Chris, worried, where I had gone to.Bun always slept with me,she was so incredibly adorable and I am so fricking gutted.-excuse me,but I really hurt..
My bill for the initial diagnoses from my local vet was £331.00 so all in all,£600.00 and my Bun has gone..This is just so unfair.!!!
