Shropshire Smallholder Group
Thursday 8 September 7.30pm
at Leebotwood Village Hall
SY6 6NB
Composting

The September meeting will be:

COMPOSTING by Mike Black & Sue Wilson

Mike and Sue completed a Master Composter course run by Shropshire County Council’s Waste Management Department in association with Garden Organic. They are very keen gardeners concerned about the despoliation of our planet and try to REDUCE, REUSE and RECYCLE where they can, including composting. They will pass on to us the knowledge they gained so that we may be encouraged to home compost.  Home composting is a more environmentally friendly alternative to municipal composting.
Tonight's talk will be followed by a Composting Workshop for those interested on Saturday 10 September.

There will also be:
Members’ Exchange time (items for sale or wanted)
The monthly raffle.
The Members’ Table where you can sell any smallholder item.
As usual we will round off the evening with a two-course supper.   There is a charge for supper of £5.00 per person but please note that booked meals have to be paid for even if you are unable to attend the meeting as an outside caterer provides the food.  If you would like a vegetarian meal please request this when booking.
To book for the talk and/or supper please contact Paula Raymond by e mail lucy@raymond606.freeserve.co.uk or by ‘phone on  01743 873986 or by dropping her a line at Holly Ash, Lower Lythwood, Lyth Bank SY3 0BB.  Meals must be booked by the evening of Sunday 4th September at the latest.
All bookings are important (whether you are staying for a meal or not).
Guests and visitors are welcome at the meetings and there is an entrance fee of £1 & £3 respectively.  Meetings are free for members.

Please come along for a great evening and to pick the brains of like minded people  :D
