Hello
My name is Fiona. I am not a smallholder(unfortunately) but I am very interested in smallholding having come from a farming family(large scale), having married into a farming family(now ex but small scale) and having friends who do have smallholdings.
I have two horses, which I share with my younger daughter, two dogs and a cat and a fairly large garden which, at present, is given up to grandchildren and their friends, the two dogs and cat.
When I found the site I was thrilled because it seemed so friendly, Scottish and very down to earth. Also, we also used to have a Smokey horse(a Connemara, who was a definite individual but gave the girls a lot of fun when he felt like it!)

Welcome to the TAS Forum, Bracken.  Put yourself on the members map so we can see where you are.  I'm in Clackmannan with 4 dogs, 2 cats, 3 ducks, a drake, 9 hens and a cockerel, all on an acre of garden that I'm trying to rough up.  been here almost a eyar now and love it.  This is a great forum for information, ideas and companionship!
Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age
