I am trying out lots of jams and chutneys this year and have made some already (strawberry, yum). Unfortunately I don't have fruit trees in my garden yet (hopefully putting them in before the frost) but would really like to try crab apple, apple, pear, damson and quince recipes. I can buy apples and pears (albeit quite expensively) from our local Tesco's but can't find any of the others. Does anyone live near Forfar who would be interested in selling some? Or alternatively, maybe you could recommend someone who would pack and send some to me? I'd be very grateful for any help offered. Thanks.

Hi were is forfar? I have lots of pears and damsons/plums that are going to waste as I don't have the time to use them this year.

I just made a couple of jars of apple chutney with the not quite ripe ones that the local kids pulled off my trees and flung around the garden. It is really yummy and to be honest because there were so few I'd have just eaten them if the kids hadn't got there first. So I guess they did me a favour

Let me know how much you want in weight of the damsons/plums I say damson/plum because I'm not sure which they are and also il see if the pears are ok because iv picked them because there were so many they were bending the branches to much. The pears have been on the floor for a couple of days but are probably still fine. Then il get a price for postage from the post office. It would be a shame for all this fruit to be wasted.
