Ducks usually lay in the morning which is why if you don't let them out too early, they should have laid in the house and you don't have to spend ages looking for them and then finding that they are covered in mud etc.

My Muscovys lay early morning, before my hens most days.

My KK and KK/Swedish Blue crosses lay before 10 am, so I keep them in till then.  On the odd occasion one lays late and outside and the magpies get there fiirst!  They don't go back into the shed to lay whereas the hens do.
Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age

mine lay late morning, sometimes into lunchtime in the garden. I do not let them get out of bed before 10, which helps. :&>
