Belgian Hares and Flemish Giants
« on: August 07, 2011, 03:14:35 pm »
Does anyone keep Belgian Hares and/or Flemish Giants?  We used to keep this when I was a kid, for meat and show.  I rather fancy keeping some again.  I'm in Aberdeenshire.
We keep Ryelands, Southdowns, Oxford Downs, Herdwicks, Soay, Lleyn, an Exmoor pony and Shetland geese.  Find us on Twitter as @RareBreedsScot

Both of these breeds have their own club, whose secretaries could put you in touch with breeders nearer to you although I think you will find them few and far between, especially Flemish Giants. There is also a Scottish Rabbit Club who we have always found to be very friendly even though we are no longer in Scotland. The British Rabbit Council can give you club details. Website is www.thebrc.org
